El Mundo Deportivo understands that Juventus will offer Brazilian playmaker Diego in exchange for Bayern Munich's Franck Ribery this summer.
Ribery is expected to be the centrepiece of the next transfer window with Real Madrid and Barcelona set to battle it out for his signature.
Real Madrid are believed to have an advantage after they apparently sold Arjen Robben to the German giants last summer as a 'down payment' for Ribery.
However, that report has not been confirmed and as far as the Spanish and Italian Press are concerned Ribery is still on the market.
Juventus were interested in the 26-year-old France international last year. In fact, Claudio Ranieri, who was the club's coach at the time, apparently wanted Ribery instead of Diego.
Bayern were also in the hunt for Diego, but both Werder Bremen and the player felt Juventus came up with a better offer.
The German giants are already planning for after Ribery, such is his desire to leave the club.
They have scouted CSKA Moscow's Milos Krasic, but Diego's unhappy predicament has rekindled their interest in him.
Whether the former Santos youngster would prove a big enough bargaining chip in exchange for Ribery remains to be seen.
