Things get serious and the real Primavera emerges. The era of Luciano Bruni starts on the right footing and on the first day of the championship, the team immediately registered a prestigious result. The match away to Genoa, holders of the Coppa Italia and fresh from success in the Super Cup, was not an easy one but the bianconeri immediately left their mark.
On the synthetic field of Cogoleto the match ended 1-0. To decide the match was Giuseppe Giovinco who scored from a free-kick close to the half hour of the first half. De Paola and Silvestri were absent due to suspension but the coach from Livorno had Fausto Rossi back. The midfielder finally returned to the field following the operation to his ankle undergone in Summer.
Having concluded the first match in the best of manners, now Juventus is expected to play an equally difficult second match. Next Saturday, for the home debut at the Chisola, the bianconeri will host Siena, finalist of the last championship and one of the most equipped teams.
