Juventus striker Amauri is delighted after getting his name back on the scoresheet, but feels his side deserved more from the 1-1 draw with Fiorentina.

The Old Lady started off brightly, but found themselves a goal down after just five minutes. Juan Manuel Vargas did the damage as he tapped home from close range to silence the Olimpico. However, Amauri, who hadn't scored since February 15th coming into the match, slotted the ball home into an unguarded net after Vincenzo Iaquinta's cross-shot found the Brazilian unmarked.

Juve had several opportunities to go on and win the game, but they were unable to turn their chances into goals. However, Amauri is delighted to have got his name on the score sheet.

"Surely I missed the goals going in, but I have always played well," Amauri told Sky Sport Italia.

"September was peculiar month for me as I went seven games out of seven without scoring. However, I am happy for the goal I scored, but less pleased with the result, we could have done better."

Juventus have not won in five matches, but Amauri is confident his side can come out of that spell.

"We don't win? Well, we have to get out of this moment. We have to think about Wednesday now in the Champions League as we have an important game and close this one."

The striker was then asked about a possible call up to Italy, and he has made himself ready.

"Italy? I play for Juve and I want to do well here. If [Marcello] Lippi gives me a chance then I will be very happy," concluded the hitman.
